Description
The City seeks a consultant specializing in historic preservation or a related field to develop an Infill Residential Pattern Book for its historic preservation overlay districts. The work includes touring historic residential districts; creating at least eight architectural base patterns with alternate versions; preparing design guidance and illustrations; and supporting review and public comment on a draft. The consultant must also participate in an initial meeting, provide progress reports, make a final public presentation, and conduct a training workshop for City staff and Design Review Board members. The proposal should describe qualifications and relevant experience, key personnel, methodology and scope, a management plan and timetable, and an itemized lump-sum cost. It must also include resumes and prior project examples, and statements addressing specified civil-rights compliance and debarment certification. Final deliverables include electronic survey products and report files, plus printed copies of the final report for the City and the South Carolina Department of Archives and History.
