Description

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is procuring two 25 kW pulsed RF solid-state high-power amplifiers for the Advanced Light Source LINAC: one operating at approximately 125 MHz and one at approximately 500 MHz. The amplifiers will replace existing tube-based units and must use current solid-state LDMOS, GaN FET, or equivalent technology while meeting detailed RF, power, cooling, control, safety, reliability, and environmental requirements. The contractor must design, manufacture, test, and deliver both amplifier systems; provide design reviews, quality assurance documentation, a detailed delivery schedule, past-performance information, and compliance responses to the Engineering Specification Document. The scope includes a 100-hour reliability heat-run test, factory and site acceptance testing, NRTL evaluations and certifications, packaging and shipping, installation and commissioning guidance, documentation, and an on-site warranty option. The revised solicitation requires a revised proposal reflecting the updated Statement of Work and Engineering Specification.
