Description
Upper Hanover Township is soliciting bids for intersection improvements at Layfield Road (S.R. 0663) and Schoolhouse Road (T-239)/Montgomery Avenue. The work includes excavation, asphalt subbase and paving, curb removal and installation, milling, construction surveying, maintenance and protection of traffic, roadway signage, pavement markings, traffic signal supports and equipment, conduit, signal cable, junction boxes, electrical service, an uninterruptible power supply, vehicle signal heads, video and radar detection systems, optical preemption, fire hydrant relocation, and site restoration with topsoil, seeding, and mulch. The contractor must be PennDOT-prequalified, comply with Pennsylvania prevailing-wage requirements, provide required bid and post-award bonds, and complete the work within 240 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. The project is partially financed through Pennsylvania Department of Transportation grants. Bids must include the required proposal, pricing, guaranty or bid bond, qualification statement, non-collusion affidavit, and public-works employment verification materials.
