Description

The City of South San Francisco is soliciting sealed bids for relocation and upgrade of the existing Oyster Point Marina vacuum/ejector pump station to a conventional sanitary sewer pump station. The work includes new ejector and submersible pumps, E/One grinder pump systems at marina facilities, new sanitary sewer force mains and related manholes and valves, a pump-ahead system at the public dock, a new pump station building and wet well, electrical service and switchgear, a diesel generator, instrumentation and controls, water and fire-service improvements, site grading, paving, fencing, traffic control, dewatering, hazardous-material abatement, demolition, and abandonment of the existing vacuum system and pump station. The project is a public works construction contract with an engineer’s estimate of $5.16 million. Bidders must hold a California Class A General Engineering Contractor license and be registered and qualified for public works as required. The proposal package includes the completed proposal and company information, prime-contractor references, subcontractor designations, worker’s compensation certification, non-collusion declaration, debarment and suspension certification, equal employment opportunity certification, certificate of non-discrimination, and a 10% bid bond or equivalent security. The successful bidder must later provide payment, performance, and guaranty bonds, insurance, tax forms, and other post-award documents.
