Description
Jackson County, Mississippi, is soliciting bids for a construction project at Gautier Public Library. The work consists of installing a retrofitted roof system and rebuilding the roof structure and roof for the entry breezeway. The contract time is 120 consecutive calendar days, with liquidated damages of $500 per consecutive calendar day thereafter. Bidders must submit either a sealed paper bid or an electronic PDF bid through the designated planroom. A bid bond or certified check equal to 5% of the total bid is required for sealed bids; electronic bids must be secured with a bid bond. Bids exceeding $50,000 require a current Mississippi Certificate of Responsibility, and nonresident contractors must include their state's current law concerning treatment of nonresident contractors.
