Description
The Montana Department of Transportation is seeking one consulting firm for Phase 1 services for the Lavina-Ryegate Bridges project. The scope includes an alternatives analysis for replacing six existing timber structures with new bridges or culverts, with potential minor roadway improvements and approach guardrail upgrades. Anticipated services include roadway design; traffic engineering, operations analysis, and design; geotechnical investigation and design; survey; environmental evaluation and permitting; bridge design; hydraulics analysis and design; and coordination with local agencies and stakeholders. The proposal must demonstrate team qualifications and project approach, including relevant experience, professional licensure, organizational structure, special equipment or software, anticipated project challenges, quality assurance and quality control, and delivery planning. The proposal is limited to five pages, excluding the required appendices. Appendices must include brief resumes for key personnel, MDT's completed cover page form, and references for at least five similar contracts completed within the past three years. Montana professional engineering licensure must be in hand at submission, and the prime consultant is generally expected to perform at least 50% of the work. The contract is expected to use a cost-plus-fixed-fee structure with negotiated cost ceilings.
