Description
The City of Detroit Water and Sewerage Department is soliciting one new, fully assembled mobile hydro excavator with a 12-cubic-yard debris tank mounted on a heavy-duty truck chassis, with a Mack Granite chassis preferred. The unit must include the specified chassis, debris tank, hydraulic boom, vacuum and air-conveyance systems, liquid pump-off system, high-pressure water system, heated compartments, wireless remote control, safety lighting, accessories, manuals, replacement filters, and related standard equipment. The equipment must be delivered to the department's Fleet Maintenance Division and meet detailed performance, safety, emissions, warranty, training, service, and delivery requirements. Bidders must be an authorized manufacturer sales and service facility or an authorized Class A dealer, and the specification requires an authorized parts and service facility within 50 miles of the Central Service Facility. The solicitation is limited to Detroit Based Businesses or Detroit Resident Businesses certified through the City of Detroit Civil Rights, Inclusion & Opportunity Department, with valid insurance documents and approved City of Detroit clearances. The stated reference price is $575,000 for one unit, and award will be based on the lowest price among qualified responses.
