Description
The City of New York Department of Citywide Administrative Services is soliciting a requirements-contract contractor to furnish labor, materials, equipment, installation, erection, maintenance, rental, dismantling, and removal of various sidewalk sheds and pipe-frame scaffolding at DCAS-managed facilities throughout Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island. The scope includes standard and decorative sidewalk sheds, multiple scaffolding configurations and heights, monthly rentals, daily inspections and maintenance logs, lighting, grounding, permits, engineering, repairs, and removal. The estimated contract amount is $9,933,280, with a three-year initial term and one three-year renewal option; the specifications also allow a discretionary one-year extension. Bidders must submit unit prices and capped percentage markups, a completed bid sheet, proof of required licenses, a New York State Department of Labor contractor and subcontractor registry certificate, a minimum-qualification experience form, an organizational chart, references, and a sealed subcontractor list. The contractor must self-perform the work except that electrical work may be subcontracted, and the contract is subject to prevailing-wage requirements, a Project Labor Agreement, insurance, bid security, and performance and payment bonds.
