Description
Newaygo County is soliciting bids for a current-production postage meter/mailing system for approximately 10,000 pieces of mail per month, with peak volumes of 40,000 or more. The system must process mixed weights, thicknesses, sizes, and flap orientations; weigh each piece; calculate and imprint postage; identify overweight or oversized mail; include a 30-pound scale and power stacker; support United States Postal Service rate and software updates; and provide departmental accounting. Bidders must provide delivery, installation, training, hardware and software maintenance options, meter rental pricing, and a five-year purchase-versus-lease cost comparison. Responses must include the proposed make and model, company and staff qualifications, maintenance and customer-service information, repair response details, current customer references, detailed pricing, and proof of liability, vehicle, and workers' compensation insurance. The solicitation requires at least three similar-work references and states that the successful vendor may begin only after an executed purchase agreement or written notice to proceed.
