Description
Harmony Public Schools is soliciting competitive sealed proposals from qualified general contractors for the ground-up construction of an approximately 18,000-square-foot building at Harmony Science Academy-Irving. The facility will accommodate two K-12 gymnasiums, serve as a storm shelter for a future elementary school project, and include full finish-out for one gymnasium. Related site work includes traffic and parking improvements. The scope includes concrete, structural metals, exterior and interior finishes, roofing, doors and windows, mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing, fire protection, landscaping, low-voltage systems, structured cabling, audio-visual, public-address, intrusion detection, access control, video surveillance, fiber optic, data and voice networks, gym equipment, an electronic message marquee, and construction-camera services. Proposers must submit pricing by schedule of values, resumes for proposed personnel, relevant project experience, financial documents, safety records, licensing evidence, insurance certificates, and a bonding-company eligibility letter. Payment and performance bonds are required after award before contract execution. Substantial completion is required by November 1, 2027, with liquidated damages of $2,000 per day for delay.
