The project involves fabricating and installing gateway and parking signage. Three vertical gateway signs are the highest-priority Phase 1 items, and additional sign types may be added in priority order as funding allows. The final scope depends on bid results and available ARPA funds. Bidders should include applicable sales taxes in their pricing. Alternate prices must include labor, materials, engineering, fabrication, delivery, and installation. The County will remove existing signs. A North Carolina-licensed general contractor is required for installation if the signs exceed $40,000; permits and licensed electrical work may also be required depending on sign location and scope. Project completion is required by September 30, 2026. Addendum 2 corrects the drawing for Sign Type A2: both the Wilmington letters and decorative pattern must be 1 inch thick. The sign contractor is responsible for design and engineering of supports and anchors, site verification, permits and inspections, and submitting stamped engineering drawings and samples for review. Final aesthetic selections will be incorporated during the shop-drawing phase.
