Description
The City seeks a licensed and bonded collection agency to collect delinquent debts owed to its Department of Property Standards. Services include pursuing collections, skip tracing, handling debtor calls and correspondence, processing payments and disputes, reporting uncollected accounts to major credit bureaus after at least 60 days of collection efforts, and providing monthly account reports. The contractor must comply with applicable debt-collection laws, maintain appropriate Louisiana licensure and bonding, and support electronic account transfers and payments. The proposal must include responses to the specified exhibits: the approach to the work, miscellaneous questions, implementation plan, experience, personnel staffing, fee schedule, Fair Share forms, and the felony conviction/E-Verify affidavit. The contract term is one year, with up to four additional one-year renewals. The City lists an estimated expenditure of $375,000 and a 25% Fair Share goal.
