Description
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority is soliciting a turnkey replacement of two existing UPS units at its MBTA Police Station. The work includes furnishing and installing two 50 kVA parallel-redundant UPS modules without interruption to critical loads; removing and disposing of the existing equipment; installing or modifying wiring, batteries, cabinets, and related equipment; integrating alarm messaging with the MBTA email system; providing an annunciator panel; and performing startup, testing, and commissioning. Deliveries must include two rugged laptop computers with the specified interfaces and accessories for UPS servicing and test-data downloads, along with onsite training. The procurement also requests five years of maintenance and repair services, including 24x7x365 emergency response with arrival within four hours of notification, as well as manufacturer warranties. Work is subject to Massachusetts prevailing-wage requirements, specified insurance coverage, electrical licensing and qualification requirements, and bid, payment, and performance bonding requirements. The MBTA will award to the lowest-priced responsive and responsible bidder.
