Description
The City of Sandy is soliciting bids for crack sealing 275 street segments covering approximately 5,996,394 square feet. The contractor must provide all labor, approved crack-sealing materials, tools, equipment, traffic control, signage, roadway permits, insurance, and bonding. Work includes cleaning and sealing pavement cracks, treating roadway edges and specified pavement features, addressing alligator cracking, and correcting sinkers after inspection. A traffic control plan and a separate arrow-board vehicle are required on arterial roadways, with work generally performed between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The bid requires either the provided Excel bid spreadsheet or fillable bid proposal, contractor information, a questionnaire and statement of qualifications documenting at least three comparable projects completed within the last 10 years, and a bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid. Payment and performance bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract amount, and specified insurance coverage are required if awarded. The proposed term is one year, with two additional one-year renewal periods for the 2027 and 2028 crack-seal projects.
