Description
The City of Rocky Mount is soliciting turnkey proposals for the design, procurement, and construction of a new playground at Sunset Park. The base work includes a 65-by-85-foot play area with a concrete border, sub-surface preparation, grading and drainage, accessible surfacing using either pour-in-place or tile, a rope-and-cable climbing structure or equivalent playground structure of at least 475 square feet for ages 6–12, a three-bay swing set, two benches, and a trash receptacle. The contractor must provide all design, engineering, procurement, shipping, site preparation, construction, installation, project management, testing, inspections, permits, cleanup, restoration, and closeout documentation. Proposals must separately price surfacing and other listed alternates, including tot-lot equipment, accessible play features, shade structures, a picnic table, and additional benches. The solicitation also requires relevant experience, at least three similar-project references, applicable licenses and certifications, subcontractor information, insurance information, product literature, technical information, renderings or conceptual drawings, a project schedule, and required federal and state certifications.
