Description
Carson City is soliciting a contractor for a vertical construction project addressing structural deterioration caused by moisture infiltration at its Aquatic Facility. The work includes removing damaged exterior stucco and plywood, evaluating and repairing or replacing affected framing, treating framing with mold-resistant paint, installing new plywood sheathing and EIFS/stucco finishes, replacing parapet caps, and restoring weather-tight conditions. The project also includes corrective ventilation measures, including continuous soffit vents, four new roof vents, and passive and mechanical ventilation systems; removal and replacement of soffit light fixtures; and replacement or modification of the fire sprinkler system. Contractors must provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, coordination, cleanup, prevailing-wage compliance, and required construction submittals. A Nevada Contractor License B is required, with applicable specialty licenses such as C-1/C-1f and C-2/C-2a for specific scopes. The engineer's estimate is $145,000, and the work must be completed within 20 working days after the Notice to Proceed, with construction scheduled between October 2026 and February 2027.
