Description
The Colorado Department of Corrections is soliciting documented quotes for 296 12-gauge, 3-inch-chamber, heavy-duty pump-action tactical shotguns: 186 Mossberg 590A1 PRO 12/18.5 models and 110 Mossberg 590A1 PRO 12-gauge 18.5-inch models, or approved equivalents. Required specifications include MIL-SPEC 33443G compliance, heavy-walled barrels, metal trigger guards and safety buttons, Parkerized corrosion-resistant finishes, ambidextrous safeties, dual extractors, twin action bars, anti-jam elevators, XS ghost-ring sights, optics-ready receivers, and six-round side saddles. Shotguns must be shipped directly from the manufacturer. Bidders must provide itemized, firm pricing that includes delivery costs and separate trade-in credit values for serviceable and non-serviceable Remington 870 shotguns. No actual order quantities or dollar amounts are guaranteed. The anticipated purchase-order term runs from October 28, 2026, through June 30, 2027, with one possible one-year renewal. The solicitation states that insurance documentation and proof of good standing are required before purchase-order execution, not with the quote.
