Description
The General Services Administration is conducting market research regarding the potential sale and disposal of unneeded Federal firearms, including firearms classified under Federal Supply Class 1005, Guns, through 30mm. The Government anticipates potential negotiated sales or term sales contracts with Federal Firearms Licensees, including original equipment manufacturers, and is also seeking information from businesses that may provide related disposal services. Respondents are asked to describe their capabilities and experience in valuing, purchasing, transporting, receiving, and documenting firearms transferred from government or law enforcement sellers. The RFI also asks about lawful transfer and licensing requirements, seizure or forfeiture firearms, historical or collectible firearms, National Firearms Act firearms, unexpended ammunition, shipping coordination, and transaction structures. Responses are informational only and will not result in an award under this RFI.
