Description
The Town of Norton, Massachusetts is soliciting bids for the Elm Street Area Water Main Improvements project. This project involves the construction of approximately 5,100 linear feet of new eight-inch ductile iron water main to replace existing water mains along Elm Street and Miller Terrace. The scope of work also includes replacing water services from the new main to the curb stop, installing new hydrants and valves, and associated accessories. Additionally, the project will encompass trench pavement and permanent overlay pavement within the project area. The contract completion date is May 15, 2027. All water main work must be completed by December 1, 2026, and all final permanent overlay paving must be completed by May 15, 2027. Bid security is required in the amount of five percent of the bid. The selected contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond in an amount at least equal to one hundred percent of the contract price.
