Description
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission is soliciting competitive bids for as-needed solid waste services at two HHSC Region 06 offices. The contractor must provide 30-cubic-yard open-top dumpsters and pickup, hauling, and disposal services at 1320 E. 40th Street and 5425 Polk Street in Houston, with service requested as needed. Services must generally be performed Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with responses to routine service calls within four hours and on-site response to approved emergency requests within one hour. The contractor must furnish labor, transportation, equipment, materials, and supplies; maintain qualified and trained personnel; provide at least three similar references from the past five years; and maintain specified workers’ compensation, general liability, automobile, professional liability, and umbrella insurance. The initial contract term is September 1, 2026, through August 31, 2029, with one possible one-year renewal and a possible one-year extension. Historical spending for similar services was $240,000, but HHSC provides no guarantee of volume, usage, or compensation.
