Description
This Sources Sought notice seeks capability statements from qualified construction contractors for the replacement of the existing atrium at the Chickamauga Visitor Center. The contemplated single-prime construction project includes selective demolition; construction of a replacement atrium with structural, architectural, roofing, building-envelope, curtain-wall, glazing, entrance, and interior-finish work; parking, plaza, pathway, paving, grading, earthwork, stormwater, civil, and landscape improvements; and associated fire-protection, plumbing, HVAC/mechanical, electrical, fire-alarm, communications, and life-safety work. The contractor would be expected to coordinate multiple construction disciplines at an active visitor facility that will remain occupied and open to the public. Capability information requested includes comparable prime-contractor experience, bonding and financial capacity, multidisciplinary trade coordination, occupied-facility construction, historic-preservation and archaeological work, fire-protection and life-safety coordination, CPM scheduling, quality control, environmental protection, organizational capability, subcontractor availability, self-performance, anticipated project constraints, and interest in competing for a future solicitation. Responses are limited to five pages, excluding the completed business information and certification portion if submitted separately, and general marketing literature is discouraged.
