Description
The City of Grand Rapids is soliciting bids for Project No. 26027, involving relocation of a storm sewer outlet approximately 40 feet west of its existing alignment, abandonment and filling of approximately 175 feet of existing 12-inch storm sewer, installation of new 12-inch storm sewer and three 4-foot-diameter storm manholes, removal and replacement of pavement and related site features, and traffic maintenance. The work also includes construction of a small modular-block retaining wall, riprap, erosion and sedimentation controls, wetland slope restoration and seeding over approximately 1,060 square yards, tree removal and root pruning, utility coordination, and restoration of areas affected by erosion and pipe failure. Bidders must be prequalified as required by the City, complete the electronic bid form and associated subcontractor, supplier, and certification information, and comply with the stated Micro-Local Business Enterprise and Equal Business Opportunity requirements. Substantial completion is required by December 1, 2026, HMA paving by November 15, 2026, and final completion by June 1, 2027.
