Description
Kent Intermediate School District is soliciting bids for snow and ice removal at six facilities: Lincoln Campus, Pine Grove Learning Center, Empower U North, Empower U Central, Empower U South, and Kent Education Center–Oakleigh. Services include plowing, snow blowing, shoveling, salting, and clearing designated parking lots, entrance and circulation drives, sidewalks, ramps, building entrances, and other areas identified on the site maps. Snow removal is generally required by 5:30 a.m. on school days when accumulation reaches one inch or more, with additional service during heavy snowfall and preparation for the next school day after weekend or holiday snowfall. Bidders may propose on one or any combination of the locations and must provide per-visit, per-item pricing, an equipment inventory, three similar-service references, and completed Iran Economic Sanctions and Familial Relationship affidavits. The contractor must provide adequately equipped and trained staff, comply with school-district background-check requirements, and meet the stated insurance requirements. Lincoln Campus has an initial one-year term with three one-year renewal options; the other five locations have initial two-year terms with two one-year renewal options.
