Description
The City of Durango, on behalf of Durango-La Plata County Airport, is soliciting a supplier to furnish and deliver commercially manufactured liquid runway deicing and anti-icing fluid for airport runways, taxiways, aprons, and other airfield pavements. The estimated seasonal quantity is 25,000 gallons, with typical orders of 3,000 to 5,000 gallons; no minimum purchase or exclusive quantity is guaranteed. Delivery may be by bulk tanker into airport storage tanks or in totes. The offered product must be potassium-acetate-based and conform to the current SAE AMS 1435 specification for liquid runway deicing and anti-icing products, and be suitable for use under the applicable FAA guidance. The bid must identify the manufacturer, trade name, chemistry, concentration, storage and application conditions, and shelf life, and include the current technical data sheet, safety data sheet, and manufacturer certification or independent test documentation establishing conformance. Pricing is requested per gallon for the product and delivery/freight, with a potential freight adjustment capped at 20 percent. The contract period is expected to continue through May 2027, with delivery commencing on an estimated December 1, 2026 date.
