Description
The Indian Health Service, Navajo Area, Shiprock Service Unit intends to restrict competition and make a sole-source award to ICAD, Inc. for maintenance and support of proprietary software used in mammography imaging at Northern Navajo Medical Center. The agency states that ICAD developed and owns the software and that no third party is authorized to sell, distribute, or maintain it; alternative software or services would not support the existing systems without modification. This is a Notice of Intent to Restrict Competition, not a request for quotations, and no solicitation will be issued with the notice. Vendors that believe they can provide the requirement may submit a written capability statement; verbal responses will not be accepted. The agency will determine whether to proceed with a single-source award or conduct a competition based on the information received.
