Description
The City of Mt. Pleasant is soliciting sealed, unit-price bids for a one-year supply of municipal water-treatment chemicals: liquid carbon dioxide, liquid ferric chloride, quicklime, sodium fluoride, sodium hydroxide (caustic soda), and sodium hypochlorite. Estimated annual quantities are 175 tons, 150 dry tons, 700 tons, 3 tons, 0-350 tons, and 18,000 gallons, respectively; quantities are not guaranteed. The awarded supplier must provide all-inclusive pricing covering the chemical, freight, transportation, and delivery to the City's water-treatment and water-resource-recovery facilities on an as-needed basis. Products must meet the specified AWWA and NSF/ANSI standards, and deliveries must comply with the detailed packaging, labeling, truck, unloading, testing, and quality requirements for each chemical. Sodium hydroxide and sodium hypochlorite are subject to quarterly pricing and a one-year total price-increase cap of 25%. Bidders must submit only the completed proposal page; a typical product analysis must be emailed no later than five days before bid opening. No bid, performance, labor, or material bond is required.
