Description
The City of Delaware is seeking suppliers for assorted water and wastewater treatment chemicals, including liquid chlorine, sodium hydroxide, ferric chloride, aluminum chlorohydrate, sodium permanganate, reverse-osmosis antiscalant, hydrofluosilicic acid, orthophosphate, sodium hypochlorite, sodium bisulfite, and citric acid. Estimated quantities are provided for each item, and bidders must submit unit prices that include labor, equipment, transportation, and delivery costs. Products must meet applicable American Water Works Association, Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, and ANSI/NSF Standard 60 requirements where specified. Bidders must provide material safety data sheets and chemical analyses with the bid. Certain items also require product prequalification or testing, references, manufacturer certifications, technical support, training, and ongoing water-quality or corrosion-control services. Deliveries require suitable tankers, hoses, pumps, unloading equipment, spill cleanup, and compliance with specified delivery and handling procedures. The contract is for twelve months, with the City retaining discretion to award individual items to multiple vendors and potentially extend the contract for two additional calendar years.
