Description
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey seeks to prequalify multiple firms for three-year master agreements with two one-year extension options to provide general construction services through future work orders at the George Washington Bridge. Work may include complex bridge rehabilitation and repair, structural steel and concrete work, deck replacement, expansion joints, bridge bearings, temporary supports and shoring, drainage systems, fiber- and carbon-reinforced polymer wraps, protective coatings, corrosion protection, roof rehabilitation, and related transportation infrastructure work. Applicants must demonstrate substantial experience as prime or general contractors, including comparable long-span bridge or major elevated transportation structure projects, urban construction in congested areas, subcontractor coordination, and self-performance of at least 25% of the work. The submission also requires firm, staff, safety, financial, bonding, licensing, and past-performance information, including a surety letter confirming single and aggregate bonding capacity. Future work orders may impose additional scope-specific requirements, bonds, funding requirements, and participation goals.
