Description
Lubbock Power & Light intends to purchase a scale model transformer training lab with transformer equipment and models for hands-on training of apprentice and journeyman linemen in transformer operation, troubleshooting, and safety. The system is expected to simulate field conditions indoors and include a proprietary fault current reactor and three-phase breaker box for safe operation, fault detection, and instructor control of energizing and de-energizing conditions, as well as realistic secondary voltages. The notice identifies Three Phase Innovations LLC as the sole-source provider, stating that no comparable system is available and that the equipment, parts, service, and support must be purchased directly from that company. The estimated purchase amount is $151,375. Interested parties may submit information about their capability and the equipment they offer; respondents must have at least three years of experience selling similar products, and startup companies will not be considered.
