Description
Rochester Public Utilities is soliciting sealed bids for a single lump-sum general construction contract to build the Kalmar Booster Station #08. The project will boost water pressure from the Northwest High Service Area to the Kalmar High Service Area and support expanding residential development in northwest Rochester. Work includes site work; construction of the booster station building; booster and jockey pumps; process piping, valves, instrumentation, controls, electrical systems, HVAC, utilities, paving, fencing, and related appurtenances. The project is subject to Minnesota State Prevailing Wage Requirements and requires winter construction planning. Bids must include a 5% bid security. The required submission package includes the Proposal Form, Bid Security, Authorization of Signature, Responsible Contractor Certification, Workforce Participation Plan, and Contractor's Prevailing Wage Statement of Compliance. The Proposal Form must be completed in ink or typewritten form, and any alterations or additions must be initialed and dated before the bid deadline. The apparent successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds and required insurance after award. The anticipated notice to proceed is October 2, 2026; anticipated substantial completion is August 27, 2027, and contract completion is October 1, 2027.
