Description
Grand Traverse County Board of Public Works is soliciting a contractor to inspect, test, maintain, adjust, and document pressure-reducing valves serving municipal potable-water systems. The work includes reviewing asset information, verifying field conditions, conducting functional and pressure testing, servicing pilot systems and valve components, performing preventive maintenance, identifying deficiencies, and providing repair recommendations and cost estimates. Replacement parts are separately billable when authorized by the Department of Public Works. The contractor must provide labor, supervision, equipment, testing tools, transportation, safety equipment, traffic control, confined-space procedures where applicable, and electronic inspection reports. Deliverables include a work plan and schedule, individual valve reports, a summary condition assessment, repair recommendations, updated inventory information, and a final project summary. The anticipated contract term is five years, with initial inspection and maintenance in year one and on-call or emergency services during later years; the solicitation states that the requirement will be reissued after year five.
