Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, is soliciting sealed bids for maintenance dredging of the Mermentau River Bar Channel in Cameron Parish, Louisiana. The work requires removing material above elevation -17.0 feet MLG from C/L Station (-)16+00 (Mile 6.5) through C/L Station 250+00 (Mile 1.3), then transporting and depositing the dredged material along the Gulf shoreline west of the Mermentau jetties. The procurement is unrestricted under NAICS 237990 and will result in one firm-fixed-price contract. The estimated value is $10,000,000 to $25,000,000. The solicitation also requires associated surveying, disposal operations, environmental protection, marine safety, dredging-quality monitoring, and construction administration. Bidders must submit a bid guarantee equal to 20 percent of the bid price or $3,000,000, whichever is less; successful bidders must furnish performance and payment bonds. The estimated completion period is 129 calendar days after receipt of the notice to proceed, with work commencing within 10 calendar days after receipt of the notice to proceed. The contractor must perform at least 20 percent of the work with its own organization and comply with extensive safety, quality-control, environmental, utility-crossing, and dredged-material-disposal requirements.
