Description
The City is soliciting bids for waterline replacement, including approximately 4,400 linear feet of 12-inch fusible PVC water main installed by horizontal directional drilling, plus ductile iron waterline installed by open cut. Work also includes valves, tapping sleeves, fire hydrants, water-service reconnections, abandonment of existing mains and appurtenances, testing and disinfection, and associated excavation and backfill. The scope includes traffic control, erosion and sediment controls, tree removal, site restoration, and replacement of disturbed pavement, curbs, and sidewalks. The project estimate is $1,675,000. Bidders must submit a bid guaranty: either a bid and contract bond for 100% of the bid or a certified/cashier's check or letter of credit for 10%. The contract is subject to Ohio prevailing-wage requirements. The bid package requests bidder references for similar municipal work within 30 miles of the project city and information about management and supervisory personnel experience.
