Description
CENIC is procuring Category One middle-mile data transmission services for the California K–12 High Speed Network. The scope includes 19 estimated lit or managed circuits, 19 optional leased dark-fiber segments, and Category One maintenance and operations. Requested solutions may include MEF-compliant Metro Ethernet, dedicated lit DWDM-based or direct-fiber point-to-point connections at 1, 10, 100, or 400 Gbps, or pairs of single-mode dark fibers. Final quantities and configurations will depend on available bandwidth and network design. Responses must use the provided Exhibit D Circuit Pricing Worksheet; PDF and locked-spreadsheet submissions are not accepted. Bidders must review the RFP and exhibits for minimum requirements, terms, disqualification factors, and deadlines. Exhibit A's nondisclosure agreement is required to obtain CalREN hub-site addresses unless the bidder already has a current NDA on file. Supplemental pricing explanations may accompany the required worksheet, and automated or spam submissions will be disqualified.
