Description
The 140th Logistics Readiness Squadron at Buckley Space Force Base, Colorado, is conducting market research to identify potential sources for the repair and certification of a government-owned vehicle-mounted aerial lift platform (bucket truck). The existing bucket truck requires comprehensive repairs due to identified safety and operational deficiencies, and the squadron's internal vehicle management flight is not certified to perform these specialized repairs. The scope of work includes furnishing all necessary personnel, supervision, labor, parts, materials, tools, and equipment to restore the bucket truck to a Fully Mission Capable (FMC) and ANSI-compliant condition. Specific repair tasks include replacing damaged controller cover screws, safety and instructional placards, the platform rotation pin assembly, and worn anti-slip tape. Additionally, repairs to a Class 1 hydraulic leak in the lower control valve are required. The contractor will also need to troubleshoot and repair the inoperable platform tilt and leveling system, which may involve adjusting and lubricating components. All freight, transportation costs, shop supplies, and environmental disposal fees are the responsibility of the contractor. Upon completion of repairs, the contractor must conduct a full operational test to verify all systems are functioning correctly and safely according to manufacturer specifications and ANSI/SAIA A92.2 standards. A final certification document, signed and confirming compliance with all applicable ANSI A92.2 standards and suitability for government use, must be provided. Deliverables include the fully repaired and functional bucket truck, a detailed invoice listing all parts and labor, and a copy of the final ANSI certification document.
