Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a price contract for the total replacement of transmissions in two facility-owned vans used for transporting veteran patients. The vehicles are a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan and a Ram ProMaster 2500. The scope of work includes providing all necessary supplies for the complete installation of the transmissions, as well as towing the vehicles from the VA facility to the awardee's place of business for installation. The contractor's work will take place at their own site. Key requirements for the transmission replacement include using high-quality, remanufactured transmissions built to OEM standards, a fully remanufactured torque converter, and ensuring proper function of the external transmission cooler. The transmissions must be dyno-tested and come with a comprehensive warranty. The contractor is also responsible for towing the vehicles, using a flatbed or wheel-lift truck, and replacing the transmission fluid. The vehicles will be available at the George E. Wahlen Building in Salt Lake City, Utah.
