Description
The State of Utah Division of Wildlife Resources and the Kanab Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management are seeking a prequalified contractor to improve wildlife habitat across approximately 1,047 acres. The work requires mechanically removing and shredding live and dead pinyon and juniper trees and saplings using at least two tracked or wheeled bullhog mulchers, with hand cutting for vegetation that machinery cannot remove. The contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, operators, transportation, supplies, GPS capability, warning signs, and incidentals. Work includes maintaining specified stump and mulch-height limits, protecting access roads and cultural resources, restoring any damage, and completing inspections and corrective work. The solicitation is limited to vendors on the applicable State of Utah Rangeland Prequalification List and will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The scope document states a budget of $496,000 and requires performance within 80 calendar days from the official notice to proceed.
