Description
The City of Modesto is soliciting proposals and statements of qualifications for construction management, construction inspection, and materials testing services during construction of the Tuolumne Boulevard pavement rehabilitation project. The construction work includes pavement grinding and overlay within existing facilities, a new roundabout at Paradise Road and Tuolumne Boulevard, ADA-compliant curb ramps and sidewalk extensions, bicycle facility improvements, and roadway striping. The engineer's opinion of probable construction cost is $5,000,000, and the estimated construction duration is 180 working days. The selected consultant will provide full-service construction-phase support, including project oversight, contract administration, document control, progress meetings, inspection, quality control, materials and special testing, public outreach, closeout and acceptance, and installation, maintenance, monitoring, and removal of a time-lapse construction camera system. The consultant must use the City's e-Builder document-management system, provide a dedicated materials tester separate from the contractor's quality-control tester, and submit a public coordination program. The proposal must address staffing, project controls, construction management approach, innovations, estimated hours, and separate pricing.
