Description
Lea County is soliciting a contractor to provide scheduled and emergency maintenance and repair services for county generators. The scope includes semiannual inspections, annual oil, filter, coolant, air-filter, and spark-plug maintenance; manufacturer-specific testing and adjustments; and a mandatory minimum two-hour load-bank test for diesel units. The contractor must provide all labor, tools, equipment, travel, and materials; use parts and fluids meeting manufacturer requirements; dispose of used fluids properly; and obtain written authorization before performing major repairs. The contractor must have at least three years of generator maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair experience, with EGSA certification or applicable factory training preferred. The contractor must provide 24/7/365 emergency repair coverage with a four-hour on-site response for critical generators and submit inspection reports within five business days of site visits. The anticipated term is one year with up to three additional one-year renewals.
