Description
Ulster County is soliciting a contractor to perform one complete annual preventive-maintenance cycle for 536 detention-door openings—162 sliding doors and 374 swinging doors—at the Ulster County Law Enforcement Center. The work covers door alignment, locking mechanisms, lubrication, limit-switch calibration, electrical operation and status testing, emergency-release functions, minor adjustments, and an electronic door-by-door maintenance report. The central Black Creek door-control system is excluded. The contract also includes County-authorized as-needed repairs, including diagnosis, corrective adjustments, component repair or replacement, and temporary security measures. The contractor must provide qualified detention-door personnel, including a lead technician with at least five years of documented relevant experience, maintain emergency and nonemergency response capabilities, comply with facility security screening requirements, and submit references, personnel qualifications, applicable certifications, required certifications and forms, insurance acknowledgments, and a completed bid price return form. The initial contract period is January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027, with up to three additional one-year extensions by mutual agreement.
