Description
CalOptima Health is soliciting bids from California Class B licensed general contractors for a public-works tenant improvement project involving the demolition and renovation of approximately 1,000 square feet of first-floor men's and women's restrooms at an occupied ten-story commercial office building. The contractor must provide permitting, site management, labor, equipment, materials, supervision, waste handling, and coordination of all trades. The work includes new accessible plumbing fixtures, partitions, restroom accessories, tile and other finishes, painting, HVAC grilles, plumbing and electrical repairs, fire-protection coordination, and related demolition and installation shown in the drawings. Work must be performed after business hours, generally Monday through Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., with disruptive work scheduled during non-business hours or weekends. The project is subject to California prevailing-wage and Department of Industrial Relations requirements. The prime contractor must self-perform at least 20% of the total contract price; brokers and jobbers are prohibited, and licensed subcontractors are required for specified building-system trades.
