Description
The City of Sunnyvale is seeking an armored-car service provider to perform secure pickup, transportation, and delivery of currency, coin, checks, and other negotiable instruments from eight City locations to a designated local bank. Services include dual-authenticated chain-of-custody records, tamper-evident containers, at least two uniformed and armed personnel per vehicle, secure routing, bank acceptance confirmation, electronic service records, incident reporting, missed-pickup recovery, customer support, and business-continuity capabilities. Pickup frequency varies by location from one to three times per week. The proposal must include a base service model and may include separately priced alternatives such as smart safes or other deposit-processing technology. The City intends to award one Services Agreement for an initial three-year term with two optional one-year extensions. Respondents must demonstrate comparable armored-transport experience, provide three similar-service references from the past three years, describe their technical and implementation approach, submit required licensing and credential information when requested, and complete the separate cost proposal. The selected contractor must maintain applicable armored-car, security, firearms, vehicle, and motor-carrier authority and comply with specified insurance and security requirements.
