Description
The project requires a contractor to provide labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and services for exterior painting at three high school campuses. Work includes power washing, one coat of primer, two coats of paint, sandblasting, sealing, and refinishing of buildings, fencing, gates, fixtures, equipment, and furnishings. The contractor must protect adjacent surfaces and foliage, provide mock-ups, coordinate access restrictions, remove and reinstall signage where required, and dispose of paint and chemical waste in compliance with applicable requirements. Bidders must hold a California B General Building Contractor license and/or C-33 Painting and Decorating Contractor license, be registered as public works contractors with the California Department of Industrial Relations, and be prequalified. The project is subject to prevailing-wage requirements, a Project Labor Agreement, mandatory site-visit attendance, and a 90-consecutive-calendar-day completion period after the Notice to Proceed. A bid security equal to 10% of the base bid plus alternates is required; the successful bidder must furnish 100% performance and payment bonds.
