Description
The Chicago Transit Authority, as lead agency for a joint procurement with Pace Suburban Bus and Metra, seeks armed armored-car services to collect, transport, count, and deposit paper and coin currency. The contractor must provide armed personnel, liftgate-equipped vehicles, secure counting facilities, and related equipment; safeguard and process currency and fare media; transfer funds to the participating agencies’ designated banks; and provide required reporting. Services cover CTA, Pace, and Metra locations throughout the Chicago metropolitan area. The solicitation requires relevant experience, three recent client references, qualified and background-checked personnel, and compliance with agency-specific technical, security, reporting, DBE, financial, certification, and insurance requirements. The contract term is three years with two one-year options. The agencies may award separate contracts for CTA, Pace, and Metra. The due date is October 29, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. Central Time.
