Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research for a forthcoming commercial-services solicitation covering extended warranty support for SAM/GFMS key lockboxes with fingerprint readers and the SAMBEAR electronic system. The requirement supports two SAM key lockboxes and one GFMS lockbox, with associated supplies, services, and peripheral equipment. Required support includes 24/7 web and telephone technical assistance, training on SAM and GFMS lockboxes using card-reader access, software and firmware updates through local or web-based programming, replacement parts as needed, ground freight to EMS, and return labels for parts. Software and firmware must not connect to the VA information-technology network or systems. The anticipated contract is a firm-fixed-price purchase order with a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods.
