Description
The U.S. Navy requires a contractor to provide preventative water treatment services for approximately 55 hydronic systems, four downdraft water filtration dust collectors, and one rainwater collection system at Fleet Readiness Center East. The scope includes supplying and maintaining treatment chemicals and sphagnum moss; adjusting government-furnished chemical feed equipment; monthly testing, monitoring, and reporting; bacteriological, corrosion, glycol, rainwater, and water-quality analysis; quarterly performance reporting; and an initial inspection and system-volume analysis. The contractor must use EPA-registered chemicals, maintain appropriate treatment levels, manage hazardous materials and waste, and provide Safety Data Sheets. The contractor must also provide as-needed repair services for chemical feed equipment, including pumps, timers, sensors, valves, piping, storage tanks, hydrogen peroxide generators, and corrosion coupon racks. Repairs require government authorization and may be performed by a subcontractor, subject to contractor coordination and responsibility. Proposed field technicians must each have at least five years of relevant experience, and the contractor or lead representative must hold an Association of Water Technologies Certified Water Technologist credential. Quotes must include a written technical narrative of no more than seven pages and the required Section K representations and certifications, along with a copy of the current AWT CWT certificate.
