Description
The contractor must remove and dispose of the existing asphalt and felt built-up roofing membrane system, gravel protection, gypsum board, vapour retarder membrane, insulation, metal flashings, counterflashings, antenna towers, related cables, and guy wires. Instruments and devices mounted on or through the parapet must be removed, stored, and reinstalled as necessary. The work includes installing new gypsum board on the steel deck, an air barrier and vapour retarder membrane, insulation, composite coverboard, and a new two-ply SBS membrane roofing system. The contractor must also replace roof and penetration flashings and roof drain assemblies; install two overflow scuppers, a non-penetrating safety-zone warning line, and an external roof-hatch grab handle; and fabricate and install an engineered fixed roof-access ladder. The estimated contract period is three months.
