Description
The U.S. Department of Energy's Idaho Operations Office intends to negotiate a sole-source, firm-fixed-price purchase order for one Isotopx DG60 Filament Degasser (Product Code 90009326). The system must perform automated, multistep vacuum and thermal-heating routines on rhenium filaments used with thermal ionization mass spectrometry to prepare samples for ultra-low-level plutonium isotope measurements. Required deliverables include the degasser unit, automated temperature-ramping controller software, filament racks, on-site engineer installation and familiarization, and a minimum 24-month comprehensive manufacturer's warranty. Delivery is required DDP to the Radiological and Environmental Sciences Laboratory in Idaho Falls, Idaho, including shipping, customs clearance, and transit insurance. The notice is not a request for competitive proposals, but responsible sources—particularly small businesses—may submit capability statements demonstrating physical, electronic, and software compatibility with the laboratory's existing Isotopx Phoenix system, equivalent uranium burn-off capability, and OEM authorization if acting as a reseller.
