Description
Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government seeks a qualified government affairs firm to develop and implement an annual federal legislative agenda; represent the government before Congress and federal agencies; identify and pursue grants, appropriations, and other funding; monitor legislation and regulations; and advise government leadership and staff. The work also includes arranging meetings, preparing communications and briefing materials, providing year-round advice, and establishing relationships with national philanthropies, nonprofits, and foundations to identify partnerships and funding opportunities. Focus areas include public safety, economic and community development, housing, sewer and stormwater infrastructure, transportation, land use, tax and finance policy, and grant opportunities. The contract is for an initial four-year period, with up to three optional one-year renewals. Proposals must include a letter of interest and statement of services with a work program, schedule, and deliverables; consultant qualifications and a resume or CV; examples of relevant work; at least three similar municipal or nonprofit client references with contact information; proposed principals, senior staff, and subcontractors; and a fee proposal. The solicitation also requires an Affirmative Action Plan, a current Workforce Analysis Form, and documentation of good-faith outreach efforts.
