Description
The Gerald R. Ford International Airport Authority seeks a qualified firm to represent its interests before Michigan state government. Services include monitoring and analyzing legislation and regulatory developments; developing advocacy strategies; identifying and supporting state grant and funding opportunities; building relationships with legislators, executive-branch officials, agencies, and staff; and representing the Authority at hearings and other governmental engagements. The contractor will also provide regular updates, strategic advice, and communications materials such as correspondence, testimony, briefing materials, and talking points, while maintaining required Michigan lobbying registrations and complying with applicable ethics and disclosure requirements. Proposals must address the respondent's experience and approach, organization, project understanding and recommendations, staffing, references, and fees. The agreement is planned for an initial two-year term, with two possible two-year extensions. The RFP's fee-proposal instructions refer to an initial two-year agreement and potential additional two-year terms; the resulting agreement's terms are subject to negotiation.
